Put your ultrasound expertise to work across a wide range of studies, from abdominal and vascular imaging to obstetric, gynecologic and neonatal examinations. Support image-guided procedures, collaborate with the clinical team and bring a reassuring approach to patients at different stages of care. This acute-hospital assignment offers varied hands-on work with Canon imaging equipment and the chance to use the full range of your sonography skills.
Assignment Overview
- Hilo, Hawaii 96720
- 13-week W-2 contract; 1 opening
- Variable shifts around a 40-hour workweek, with call when needed and possible floating.
- The hourly-equivalent compensation estimate uses a 40-hour week.
- Proposed start: December 07, 2026, pending facility confirmation.
- Arrive the Thursday before your start for a Friday employee-health appointment.
- Requested time off cannot be accommodated during the first 13 weeks.
- Call compensation is additional and confirmed before an offer.
What You Bring
- At least three years of full-time sonography experience, including acute-hospital work.
- At least one completed travel assignment.
- ARDMS credentials in abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology and vascular technology: AB, OB and RVT.
- Current American Heart Association BLS.
- Confidence with abdominal, OB/GYN, neonatal, superficial-structure and vascular studies.

Compensation details
Taxable W-2 hourly pay: $20.00–$22.89.
