Our Client is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a permanent, on-site opportunity in Norfolk, Virginia. Bring your respiratory care skills, attentive observation and clear communication to a setting where each treatment is part of a wider recovery plan. This is a direct-hire position employed by Our Client.

The source describes a 101-bed long-term acute care setting with new equipment. Work with the care team to support patients’ respiratory needs, communicate relevant changes and help connect treatment with safety, comfort and recovery. The specific patient assignments, equipment and unit responsibilities will be confirmed during hiring.

Your contribution

Provide respiratory therapy within your license, qualifications, clinical orders and applicable protocols. Assess and monitor respiratory status, deliver prescribed treatments and evaluate patient responses. Use appropriate respiratory care equipment safely, recognize changes that require attention and communicate findings promptly to the responsible clinical team.

Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, observations and patient responses. Explain care clearly to patients and caregivers within your role, follow infection-prevention and equipment-safety practices and collaborate with nursing, medical and rehabilitation colleagues. Bring a calm, organized approach to care and respect each person’s needs and dignity. Detailed modality requirements, competency checks and the orientation process will be confirmed by Our Client.

Schedule and employment

• Permanent, on-site direct-hire opportunity in Norfolk, Virginia.
• The source lists 35 hours per week and an every-other-weekend rotation.
• The order lists day-shift timing of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Confirm the detailed weekly work pattern and start date during hiring.
• Salary range: $39–$43 per hour, as provided by Our Client.

What you bring

• Virginia respiratory therapy licensure or eligibility, with required licensure completed before practice.
